Hotels in Downtown Los Angeles: http://hotels.beverlyhills.vid....eo/Place/Downtown_Lo

The historic Olvera Street or Calle Olvera is one of the oldest parts of Downtown Los Angeles. It is part of the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. Founded in 1781, it was originally called Vine Street then in 1877, it was renamed to Olvera Street in honor of Agustin Olvera. In 1930, Olvera Street officially opened as a Mexican Marketplace.

Few blocks away from Olvera Street is the new Chinatown. The old Chinatown was originally located right next to Olvera Street but was demolished to make way for what is now the Union Station.

Greystone Mansion and Park, owned by the City of Beverly Hills and situated on 18.3 acres, is magnificent in beauty and rich in California history. Greystone Mansion was designed by the renowned Southern Californian architect Gordon B. Kaufmann and the landscape architect was Paul G. Thiene. The land was a wedding gift from oil tycoon Edward L. Doheny, Sr. to his son, Edward "Ned" Doheny, Jr. and his wife. Following the purchase of the Estate in 1965 by the City of Beverly Hills, in 1971 the entire 18.3 acre site, including its centerpiece Greystone Mansion, was formally dedicated as a public park. In 1976 the Greystone Estate was officially recognized as a historic landmark and entered into the National Registry of Historic Places. The Mansion and the grounds are often used in filmmaking and television production. The house's descending staircase is one of the most famous sets in Hollywood.

There are fifty-five livable rooms within the 46,054 square feet of space in the Mansion. Built in 1927, the Doheny family moved into the residence in September of 1928. The entire estate took over three years to complete at a cost of over $3 million, an almost unimaginable sum in real estate at the time. The Mansion alone cost $1,238,378.76 to build.

Hotels In Beverly Hills California: http://hotels.beverlyhills.vid....eo/Place/Beverly_Hil

Driving Downtown Streets - Rodeo Drive - Beverly Hills California USA - Episode 76.
Starting Point: http://goto.beverlyhills.video..../santa-monica-rodeo- .
Rodeo Drive is a two-mile-long street, in Beverly Hills, California, with its southern segment in the City of Los Angeles. The name is most commonly used metonymically to refer to the three-block stretch of the street north of Wilshire Boulevard and south of Little Santa Monica Boulevard, which is known for its luxury goods stores. The larger business district surrounding Rodeo, known as the "Golden Triangle," which extends from Wilshire Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard, is both a shopping district and a tourist attraction.

Origin Of A New Image
In 1967 Fred Hayman, "the father of Rodeo Drive," opened Giorgio Beverly Hills, the street's first high-end boutique. In 1968 Aldo Gucci opened a store on Rodeo, which catalyzed the process by which the street took on its present form.

According to erstwhile co-chair of the "Rodeo Drive Committee" Richard Carroll, the transformation of Rodeo Drive into an international center of fashionable shopping was sparked in 1971 with the opening of a new wing of the Beverly Wilshire. In 1977 the Rodeo Drive Committee "launched a publicity campaign designed to make everyone around the world think of Rodeo Drive as the shopping street of the rich and famous."

In 1976, Bijan Pakzad opened a showroom on Rodeo, which helped to solidify "Rodeo Drive's reputation as a luxury shopping destination." Pakzad touted his Rodeo Drive store as "the most expensive in the world," but, as Women's Wear Daily notes in relation to the claim, "he was known for hyperbole." The building at 332 N. Rodeo was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

International Fashion Centre
Two Rodeo Drive was built in 1990. It initially housed, amongst other stores, Christian Dior and Valentino. The original developer, Douglas Stitzel, sold the property for about $200 million immediately after its completion. The shopping center was hard-hit by the early 1990s recession, with occupancy rates dropping to as low as 60%, and the buyers sold it at an almost $70 million loss in 2000. By 2007 the property was financially stable again and was sold to a group of Irish investors for $275 million. It resembles a “faux-European shopping alley” and features a cobblestone street. Some architects have claimed that Two Rodeo Drive is similar to a "theme park in the manner of Disneyland."

Walk of Style
In 2003, Rodeo Drive was given an $18 million makeover which included widening the streets and the addition of crosswalks. The ficus trees lining the street were taken out and replaced with palm trees. In September of the same year, the Rodeo Drive Committee developed the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style. The Walk of Style features plaques set in the sidewalks along Rodeo Drive. At the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Dayton Way is the majestic, nude sculpture entitled "Torso." This famed statue was created by world-renowned sculptor Robert Graham and is the symbol for the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style.

Events
Every Father's day, the annual Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance occurs on Rodeo Drive, displaying some of the world’s most expensive automobiles. Travel publisher Frommer's named it one of the "300 Unmissable Events & Festivals Around the World."

“Fashion’s Night Out” is an event that was created in 2009 in New York City in hopes of boosting the economy during the recession.

It also hosts the annual Rodeo Drive Festival of Watches and Jewelry

Beverly Hills, California
Beverly Hills is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States, surrounded by the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood. Originally a Spanish ranch where lima beans were grown, Beverly Hills was incorporated in 1914 by a group of investors who had failed to find oil, but found water instead and eventually decided to develop it into a town. By 2013, its population had grown to 34,658. Sometimes referred to as "90210", one of its primary ZIP codes, it was home to many actors and celebrities throughout the 20th century. The city includes the Rodeo Drive shopping district and the Beverly Hills Oil Field.

10 Fun & Entertaining things to do in Downtown Los Angeles. Downtown LA is home to many attractions and as a tourist you can easily spend a couple of days doing things in Downtown LA. In this video I share my favorite things to do to keep yourself amused.

- known as New Chinatown, was developed around the Central Plaza in 1938, just west of Old Chinatown, where Union Station is now. Before the move, this area was LA's Little Italy, and is still home to St. Peter's Italian Church and Casa Italiana Cultural Center. LA's Chinatown is less dense than New York or San Francisco. The shops don't line the streets as thickly, but there are still a few cute stores and plazas through the serpent gateway heading north on Broadway from Cesar Chavez.

Take a Tour of Los Angeles City Hall
- Docent-led City Hall Tours are available weekday mornings from 9 am to noon. The last tour usually leaves around 11, but it's not a fixed schedule. If you make a reservation, you're more likely to land on the right hour for a tour, and might even get your parking covered.

- You can walk in (through the metal detectors) and explore on your own with the self-guided tour materials available at the information desk on the 3rd Floor. Be sure to take the elevator up to the observation deck on the 27th floor. You have to take the Express Elevator to the 22nd Floor, then another adjacent elevator to the 26th floor. Finally, you walk up one flight through the Mayor Tom Bradley Room and exit onto the Observation Balcony that circles the building.

Olvera Street
- Olvera Street (Calle Olvera) is a historical district in downtown Los Angeles, and a part of El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. It was officially founded in 1781 in Los Angeles, and was renamed to Olvera Street in 1877. Many of the Plaza District's Historic Buildings are on Olvera Street, as well as some of the oldest Los Angeles monuments including the Avila Adobe built in 1818, Pelanconi House built in 1857, and the Sepulveda House built in 1887. The tree-shaded, pedestrian mall marketplace with craft shops, restaurants and roving troubadours is a popular tourist destination. The street has been described as a "Top Five" in the "Great Streets of America" journal.

Things YOU need to know before you visit Disneyland in Anaheim California. First, buy your Disneyland tickets in advance. The worst place to buy tickets is at the front gate. The front gate ticket booths always have long lines, and they are the most expensive. EXPAND DESCRIPTION FOR MORE.

2. Theme Park Layout - Two Theme Parks, Disneyland and California Adventure. Downtown Disney with shopping and hotels.

3. When to go to avoid crowds - Avoid Christmas and the height of the summer. Use a crowd tracker website to gauge how busy it will be. Rainy days are awesome! Mornings are the least busy.

4&5. Food - My favorite food item at Disneyland is the Earl's Club Sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. In the Disneyland Theme Park my favorite is the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. I also enjoy the corn dogs, and the gumbo.

6. Lines & Rides - Yes, you will be waiting in lines when you come to Disneyland. Make smart use of the fast pass. For $10 extra a day you can buy a Max Pass which lets you get fast-passes from your mobile phone.

7. Stroller Parking - Designated stroller parking, but don't leave any valuables on the strollers.

8. Shows - Disneyland has great shows, but one of the neatest things about the park are the pop-up shows, parades, bands. Enjoy them! Fantasmic and World of Color are the "big" shows.

9. Shopping - Coolest gift shops are in New Orleans. Many stores have unique items in them -- so if you like shopping visit all the stores.

10. Downtown Disney - some of the best restaurants are here, movie theater, and 2 hotels.

Hotels in Redondo Beach California: http://hotels.beverlyhills.vid....eo/Place/Redondo_Bea

Redondo Beach is one of the three Beach Cities in Los Angeles County, California, located in the South Bay region of the Greater Los Angeles area, just 8 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Originally built in 1889, Redondo’s historical Wharf 1 was the first of Redondo’s era of piers, wharfs, and harbors. The Pier is a South Bay landmark offering oceanfront dining, shopping and entertainment. The current seventh generation horseshoe-shaped pier is known for its 70,000 square-feet of open space and as the largest “endless” pier on the California coast.

Redondo Beach offers panoramic ocean and coastline views and over 50 dining, entertainment and retail establishments along the Pier, neighboring International Boardwalk, and Redondo Marina. The Pier is within walking distance to beautiful, friendly, seaside accommodations for every budget. Walk to The Esplanade, one of the most scenic stretches of beach in the world, offering a variety of land and water activities from biking, jogging, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, swimming and scuba diving, to boating, sport fishing and more!
